Welcome to the Studio Where Your Story Is Unveiled

New England Boudoir & Portrait Photography

Everybody’s story is unique. Through personalized consultations, we get to know the real you and you choose how we tell your story. We’ll discuss your vibe, your outfits, your makeup, and envision a portrait experience that is distinctly you. Our consults not only build trust and understanding; they ensure that your affirming portrait session is exactly what you are looking for.

LET'S MEET

Let’s talk about empowerment photography.

Come as you are. You are beautiful and deserve to be celebrated.

You do NOT need to change yourself to be celebrated. No botox, weight loss, or spray tan needed.

You are enough as you are right now! Be here, be in the now, and let’s tell your story at Stories Untold Studios.

Empowerment Hype-Woman First, New England Boudoir Photographer Second

One time someone asked me, “How do you get your clients to look THIS confident?”
It’s not because they all walk through the doors immediately feeling like a goddess (even though they 100% are!)

It’s because of who I am. I’m a normal person— just like you.

My innate ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the lens has combined perfectly with my lifelong interest in psychology to support my clients as an empowerment photographer.

I have been a professional portrait photographer since 2007. I graduated from Clark University where I studied Studio Art and Psychology. In 2012, I opened my first studio, JClements Photography in Boston, MA. Over the last 13 years, in addition to my work in empowerment photography, I’ve photographed families, weddings, pets, newborns, headshots, and corporate events.

Back in 2017, I shifted my focus toward exclusively offering Boudoir and Empowerment Photography Sessions. These unique, customized photography experiences focus on creating a safe space for clients to explore their identity, celebrate their uniqueness and foster confidence & body acceptance. We also create some incredibly breath-taking images together.

Hi, I'm Jessie!

LET'S MEET

I live in Cambridge, MA with my partner, Dan, and our two dogs, Jackson & Stella. We love them deeply and they bring us so much joy. When I'm not working, I'm hanging with the puppers, growing vegetables in my garden, or cooking elaborate meals.

Some Fun Facts About Me

I love to dance! My background dancing with my Salsa Troupe and in Latin Ballroom Dance Competitions helped me develop a greater understanding of body awareness, body movement & sensuality. These experiences have greatly influenced my posing style. And my years as a college lacrosse player and swimmer inform my work with high-performing athletes in our Fitness Portrait Sessions.

Your safe, trusted studio

As a graduate of The Boudoir University, I have pledged to continue to do the work necessary to educate myself on as many different intersections of oppression as possible, in addition to striving to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering photographic experience for all humans, mitigating harm where possible. It is my belief that every human is worthy of respect in the form of, but not limited to: consent, safe practices, open communication, and understanding. Every human deserves photograph documentation and it is my promise as your professional to constantly aim for inclusivity, empowerment and empathy in all practices.

To keep it light, here are some other fun must-know Jessie facts:

I love living in an urban/suburban area, but also love my studio - I don't mind the drive to have the best of both worlds. <3

I was born & raised and currently live in Cambridge, MA - 45 minutes away from my studio.

(But growing up, I ALWAYS wanted to have two older brothers. Yes, I was that specific.)

I'm an only child!

I'd almost always choose a 24 hour roadtrip to a plane flight.

I love roadtrips and driving

Salty, vinegary, sweet—They all have their unique deliciousness (except Half Sours—I’d prefer a cucumber at that point)

Pickles are my all-time favorite food.

I drink Iced Coffee if I leave the house, I drink hot coffee if I'm home. (and this is true all year long)

one of me would be a professional chef, and one would have an animal sanctuary (all the animals, but especially dogs).

If I could clone myself...

The more courses the better. (Hosting Thanksgiving would be heaven for me)

My ideal hangout is to host & cook an elaborate meal for all my friends.

Before my love affair with photography, I was a three sport athlete through college (soccer, swimming and lacrosse).

helping athletes navigate the mental preparation of competing, dealing with injury, dealing with winning/loss, all aspects of the mental game of sports/competing.

I went to college thinking I would be a Sports Psychologist...

My time as a dancer has helped me to learn body movement/posing for my Boudoir Sessions!

Between college & starting a business, I was a competitive Latin Ballroom dancer and in a Salsa Performance Group

I feel that music is all about mood, so I often am drawn to different styles at different times. My current obsession is all things Afrobeats

My music taste is very diverse...

I have 50+ plants in my studio, and more at home! My personal favorite plants are succulents & snake plants - the weirder looking, the better! I talk to my plants every day. <3

I have a serious plant obsession

I grow everything from tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, potatoes, and herbs!

I also love to grow my own food in my small urban backyard garden.

but when I finally was diagnosed/put a name to the feelings when I was 30, it was like everything made sense. I've been on medication ever since, and it completely changed my life for the better.

I have suffered with anxiety my whole life...

...and in 2017 I cut off 22" for my first pixie cut, shaved my head in 2019 and will probably never have long hair again. I love my short cut so much, and feel like my outside finally represents my inside. (read my blog post for more about cutting off my hair & shaving my head!)

I told myself for the first 30 years of my life that I "couldn't ever pull off short hair"
